Hi!

Mitra here.
I am an award winning audio documentarian, sound designer & artist who has been working professionally in podcasting since 2012. I've had the opportunity to shape and influence this growing field through honest portrayals of sex & intimacy all while putting women, queer and marginalized voices at the forefront of my practice. My production work usually transcends what the job requires, and my sound design is sometimes ethereal, sometimes energetic, sometimes light touch, sometimes mood altering, but always with virtuosic craft and care.

Over the years I have helped launch podcasts for major publications as a producer, sound designer, or consultant on everything from audio quality to idea formation to brand alignment to editorial advising on a wide range of projects.

Currently, I am an adjunct professor at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and at Hunter College. I am also freelancing and on the look out for interesting and enticing projects that can push the bounds of my skills as a producers, reporter and documentarian. I am interested in opportunities that refine my skills and crafts. So please reach out.
